These built-up stirrup treads aid the rider to have the foot in the correct position.

Dressage riders like to use them with the high end of the wedge on the inside which brigs you calf into more contact with the horse and prevents unwanted gripping with the knees.

Jumpers like to use them with the high end of the wedge on the outside of the foot which stabilises your knees and ankles and can be a big help when jumping, especially over larger fences.

The wedge stirrup treads do the job I bought them for. My feet pronate badly which means my feet angle away from my horse. With the thick end of the wedge on the inside my feet and lower leg are in a better position. The only problem was the part of the tread that goes through the slot in the stirrup was too long even though the correct size. I got to work with a Stanley knife and made some alterations so they would fit. Only gave 3 stars cos of sizing problem and alterations needed
