This is the ideal rug for anyone who can't be there to take the horses rug on and off during the day with changing weather conditions. The Stay-Dry lining combined with a special heat reflective aluminium coating and silver outer helps regulate your horses temperature across a wide range of temperatures.

The Bucas Power Turnout range offers the best possible strength, durability and quality. It provides perfect comfort and protection at both lower and higher temperatures than other rugs of similar weight. The rug can be put on a wet horse the same way as a sweat rug. It will quickly dry the horse and can be left on, thus avoiding extra rug changes.

  1. Worth the $$ for sure!

    Like another reviewer I have researched rugs to no end for my TB who sweats in everything as soon as the sun comes out. I struggle to rug him and also to find a rug that fits!
    Impressed with the quality, material and the elastic leg straps! What impresses me the most is the chest clasp, double padded front and the darting which makes the shoulder cut of the rug fit really well!
    The only thing I did notice is that the topline of the rug isn't shaped so it may put pressure on the wither area when the horse is grazing...but this is my TB who has a high wither and isn't the easiest horse to fit.
    If you want a good rug then I don't think you can go past this one for quality, fit and value for money.
    My other two horses were looking wistfully for their new rug tonight and my TB had a very smug and warm expression on his face! Will certainly buy this brand again. The Brits do know how to make a good turnout!

    I did a fair bit of research before buying Bucas and I am so pleased with the rug.

    My clipped thoroughbred now only wears one rug rather than 3 and at this time of year, I don't have to worry about changing the rug during the day when it warms up.

    I haven't tried it on him when he's wet/damp yet, but I am thrilled so far.

  3. Expensive but worth every cent

    Once you go Bucas you don't go back. I was very sceptical about the advertised temperature range for these rugs but was pleasantly surprised at how accurate they are. I've checked my horse on 18deg days - no sweat! And I've checked him on -3deg nights and he seems warm and cosy. I don't understand how they work but I absolutely love these rugs!
